The Australian Employee Buyout Centre (AEBC) has developed a three stage comprehensive training programme to assist the new owners of the business to take the new entity towards growth and independence: 1.The Pre Buyout Phase – the AEBC first conducts a training needs analysis and cultural audit to assess how the business is placed in meeting the challenges of employee ownership. A number of training sessions are then conducted leading up to the employee buyout/buy-in transaction to ensure that everyone is well informed on their roles and the responsibilities of employee ownership. 2.The First 90 Days – the AEBC has programmes to develop ownership and participatory skills for all employees of the employee buyout/buy-in, as well as for putting in place structures and processes for enabling engagement and involvement. These programmes include: a. Business Basics for Employee Owners 3. Post 90 Days – With the EBO up and running, there are a number of programmes which can be delivered to grow the business and to assist it in navigating through the challenges that an employee owned business faces.
